A new intercountry committee connects Switzerland and Ukraine.
On July 14, a new chapter in Rotary friendship began in Rachiv, a small town in the Carpathian Mountains: with the signing of a memorandum of understanding and a charter, the Switzerland-Ukraine Intercountry Committee (ICC) was officially established.
The signatories on the Swiss side were Thomas Seghezzi, Hansjörg Eberle, and PRID Urs Klemm; on the Ukrainian side, Dirk Lustig is responsible for the committee. DG Olha Paliychuk and ICC National Coordinator Sergii Zavadskyi also signed—both traveled about 15 hours by train to attend the ceremony. The solemn ceremony was attended by numerous representatives from various Rotary Clubs, who helped to make this a special occasion.
